A good value tennis club with a friendly atmosphere

The club rents courts from Oxford City Council at the Alexandra Courts in Summertown. There are six hard courts available all year round and six grass courts in the summer.

We have club sessions twice a week when all members can just show up and play with other members. For each session, one member serves as the organizer who will ensure that everyone plays as many games as possible. We have a club coach who offers some free sessions and also runs an extensive juniors programme. So if you would like your children to learn how to play tennis, Norham Gardens is the ideal club to start. In addition the club enters men’s, women’s and mixed teams in Oxfordshire leagues.

The club is constituted as a non-profit-making private company limited by guarantee, with three directors and a  management committee elected at the annual general meeting. 

The club is affiliated to the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) which means that all members are also entitled to free membership of the LTA Advantage scheme which offers a better chance of success for applications for Wimbledon tickets.
